A Very Different ‘Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina’ S2 Is Already On Its Way

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

The aesthetically pleasing Chilling Adventures of Sabrina may have just hit Netflix this weekend but a second season is already in production.

The excellent Kiernan Shipka leads the brilliant cast including our very own Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, and Chance Perdomo to name a few.

Without spoiling too much, CAOS thrusts us into the life of Sabrina Spellman, a half-witch, half mortal on the brink of her 16th birthday – her Dark Baptism to be precise. Here, Sabrina must make a choice, to sign her name over to the Dark Lord, or renounce her magical powers and connection to her late father, the great Edward Spellman.

Though there are quite a few differences in comparison to the original – Sabrina the Teenage Witch, it’s still a spooky delight to watch.

And yes, Salem does not talk but he’s so cute and just about everything else makes up for it.

Chatting to Bloody Disgusting earlier this week, Shipka spilled the beans that “We’re filming [season 2] right now”.

“We went straight into the second season from the first and it’s been really so exceptionally fun to film, especially given the fact that I feel like we’re already in such a rhythm from coming out of the first season that to jump right into the second one was really, really fun and just a great opportunity to keep the momentum going.

“Sabrina definitely changes and shifts a lot. Her growth is very evident and the second season definitely has a different spin on it than the first season. They’re very different from each other.”

Then, without giving too much away, Shikpa said that season two will come down to the life decisions Sabrina makes.

“The finale of the first season sets up a lot. It goes in a different direction. We see more different characters. It deals with a different side of things.”

Praise Satan.

On Twitter, fans appear to be absolutely frothing the series.

What a bloody vibe:

I feel this on so many goddamn levels:
