‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Thanks Firies After Home Burns Down In Huge Cali Blaze

Aussies know the devastating impact bushfires can have on a community better than anyone – and our thoughts are wiith ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Johnny Galecki aka Leonard Hofstadter, who lost his beloved vacation home in a massive California fire.
The 42-year-old actor took to Instagram to thank the hard-working firies who battled the blaze  to try and save his luxury San Luis Obispo ranch, which is located about 300kms outside of Los Angeles.

“Thank you to the brothers and sisters of @calfire It is the profound risks that you accept and the sacrifices you and your families make that keep us safe,” he wrote. “Thanks also to the many of you who have reached out in support.”
Known as the Hill Fire, it forced the evacuation of more than 250 people from their homes in the rural Santa Margarita area as the state’s fire season ramps up.

The devastating blaze spread across 1,598 acres and is now 85 percent contained, according to Cal Fire; thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

Galecki told TMZ the threat of fire is something people in the community live with everyday – but that it’s worth it, to live in such a beautiful area.

“My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire, the threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile.”
