The Get Down is set to be a ‘music drama’, which will follow a group of teens from South Bronx through New York City in the 1970s.
While there’s not a huge amount of information out about the show just yet, reports say that the After Earth actor will play Marcus “Dizzee” Kipling, a ‘psychedelically talented and enigmatic graffiti writer raised in the South Bronx.’
So… imagine Jaden Smith’s Twitter account graffitied on a wall in the 70s, and you’re on the right track.
