Well, if you’re feeling a bit flat, never fear – Azealia Banks is back, and that cannon is still loose and extraordinarily volatile. You ready for this?
Overnight, a TMZ report emerged that the rapper was forcefully removed from a party that Russell Crowe had held in his hotel room in Beverly Hills.
“Why on earth was Azealia Banks invited to a party Russell Crowe held, P.TV?” We asked the same question – apparently she was the guest of RZA.“How on earth is ‘family man’ Aussie actor Russell Crowe friends with RZA, P.TV?” Look, we’re barely holding on to this rollercoaster of a story too, okay? Chill.[UPDATE: We’ve been kindly reminded they starred together in ‘The Man with the Iron Fists’. Duh. *slaps forehead*]
Sources told TMZ that Banks had laughed at Crowe‘s music selection, then called him and another guest “boring white men”.
Allegedly, a female guest then stood up to defend Crowe and told Banks to be quiet – it was at this point that Banks went on a lengthy and violent tirade towards the woman and Crowe, which include multiple inclusions of the N-word, and the following sentence:
“You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino shit.”
It’s then alleged that Banks picked up a glass and cocked her arm back as it she was about to throw it, and that’s when Crowe – who’d clearly had it by this point – grabbed her in a ‘bear hug’ and literally carried her out of the hotel suite. He called security, who escorted her off of the premises.
Banks has given a different version of events, claiming the actor ‘called her the n-word, choked her, threw her out and spit on her’.
Her management posted these tweets, stating Banks would speak out after she had process what’s happened:

However, this morning TMZ is reporting that Banks has contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department and filed a report about the incident, accusing Crowe of battery.
Crowe‘s representation says he won’t say sorry, as he insists he didn’t do anything wrong.
