The eighth season of Australia’s Next Top Model will not go to air this year after producers failed to find a host following the departure of executive producer and gaffe-prone host, Sarah Murdoch.
According to The Telegraph, a source has claimed that “they had [a host] in mind [that] had just pulled out and they’ve decided to shelve it for a year,” a statement denied by a Foxtel spokesman. Apparently producers were targeting Miranda Kerr for the role, who is most definitely too busy (where ‘busy’ means famous and/or at the peak of her career) to even consider doing television.
Maybe a year-long hiatus will be a good thing for the franchise. It’ll give them time to sort out the situation with their theme music.
