Ryan Gosling’s brand-spankin’ new flick La La Land features a fair bit of that old-timey dancing, so you’d think the frustratingly talented fella would be able to bust out a routine on the fly.
The latest edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live! proves that’s not entirely the case, but he still came through with some fundamentals for the waltz.
First, he pointed out the dance’s 3/4 time signature and corresponding step pattern. Then, he coached the baffled host to stand dead-straight while in the arms of another.
However, it was the final point that perhaps proved most relevant: Gosling let Kimmel know to never, ever let your eyes off your partner. That ~ spark ~ beats fancy feet 10/10, fam.
