Things continue to go from bad to worse for Armie Hammer, with reports that the disgraced actor has been fired by the Hollywood heavy-hitters who helped manage his career.
Trade publication Variety is reporting that the William Morris Endeavor agency has dropped him as a client, while his personal publicist is also reportedly cutting ties.
This news sees the dominos continue to topple for Hammer, after he stepped away from several high-profile roles in the wake of the continued allegations against him.
He recently exited The Offer, a TV series about the making of The Godfather. Prior to that, he dropped out of the action-comedy Shotgun Wedding, starring Jennifer Lopez.
It has since been confirmed that Josh Duhamel will replace him in that movie.
Several weeks ago, an anonymous Instagram account claiming to be run by a woman who had an affair with Armie Hammer began sharing allegations against him.
This included screengrabs of disturbing conversations, in which the star allegedly gave graphic descriptions of extreme sexual fantasies, and also talked about abuse and cannibalism.
He has called the claims against him “bullshit”, but in a statement this week, his estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers said:
“For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired. I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated. Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know. I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal.”
