Andy Samberg Shares The Jokes Cut From The Golden Globes Opening Monologue

Andy Samberg

Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh did a pretty great job of hosting the Golden Globes earlier this week, but as expected with a show that has to cram a huge number of awards into a (relatively) short amount of time, they were constrained in how many jokes they could pack into their monologue.

As a result of this, a heap of pretty solid material got cut from their speech. There’s no need to worry, though, because Samberg appeared on a recent episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers and brought his cue cards with him to burn through a heap of the cut material.

There were quite a few standouts in his rapid-fire routine, but one of the best was: “Julia RobertsAmazon show Homecoming was adapted from a podcast … would be a good sentence to confuse someone who just woke up from a coma.”

You can see Andy Samberg tell some more of them below:

Meanwhile, the beloved Brooklyn Nine-Nine returned for its season six premiere this week, and pulled in the highest ratings it’s had in years for the premiere of season six.

Netflix has seasons one to five of the show in Australia, however, if you want to watch new episodes, then for now, you’ll need to head over to SBS On Demand.
