OH GOD OUR HEARTS.
Everyone’s favourite pop culture crossover couple is hands-down Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, and if you don’t agree with that, then you’re wrong.
Before they were a couple, they individually found their way into our hearts as Queen of the Upper East Side Blair Waldorf and Dork of Orange County Seth Cohen, on two of the most era-defining TV shows of the 2000s.
When they got together, it was like the ultimate ‘Gossip Girl‘ and ‘The OC‘ crossover episode.
Since the couple are quite private compared to, say, Meester’s former co-star Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, we don’t actually get to live vicariously through their IRL relationship and imagine how it would be going down if Seth and Blair were actually dating.
(Before you say anything…. yes, some of us probably do need to get a life. STFU.)
In their first interview as a couple – and they have been dating since early 2013, so this is huuuge – they admitted that yeah, they sometimes laugh about the fact that their relationship is some fan-fiction cross-over shit come to life.
“Occasionally,” Adam admitted, then joked: “Once a year, randomly, on our Seth and Blair day. It’s good for a laugh.”
SETH. AND. BLAIR. DAY.
No, he didn’t elaborate. Use your imaginations for when that is, gawd.
“It doesn’t excite us, I think, because we’re just human beings… but it’s exciting to us that it’s exciting to you. It’s cool.”
Blair Waldorf thinks we’re cool. Excuse us while we faint.
