There’s A Lion King-Themed Gig At Taronga Zoo Ft. Baker Boy & Ngaiire

Baker Boy Ngaiire Lion King

In the best/most unexpected news this week, Baker Boy and Ngaiire will be hitting up Sydney’s Taronga Zoo on July 13th to perform renditions of various The Lion King bangers as well as a mix of their own tunes in honour of the brand new flick.

Just when you thought you’d heard it all, BAM – curveball to the face.

WIN A DOUBLE PASS TO A LION KING THEMED GIG AT TARONGA ZOO

We’ll be slinging 100 double passes to the once-in-a-lifetime gig (not even exaggerating here) which will be closed off to the general public, so to snag a ticket for yourselves, just tell us in 25 words or less what tune from The Lion King you blasted the most as a kid and why.

Along with the double passes, winners and their plus-ones will cop snacks and drinks at sunset, overlooking Sydney Harbour before the gig starts.

The soundtrack for the new Disney’s The Lion King will drop on digital a week before the flick’s release (in cinemas July 17 people write it down), so we thought what better way to celebrate it than to get some Aussie legends to serenade us with some classic tunes?

Soul and R&B singer-songwriter Ngaiire will kick the night off with what is bound to be an awe-inspiring set before Cool As Hell tune-maker Baker Boy takes over for a much-anticipated nightcap.

Zoo. Tunes. Free food and bevs. The Lion King music. What’s not to love about this arrangement?

Rally a mate and get around it, the night’s gonna be ridic good.

As an added bonus just for your ears and your ears only, take a listen to Beyoncé and Donald Glover in Can You Feel The Love Tonight? which you best believe will be on the soundtrack.
