Bondi Institution Icebergs Is Running A Pop-Up Dining Room At Splendour This Year

After last year’s pop up restaurant serving up fancy-ass fare that’s a bit more bougie than your stock standard burger and beer, Splendour In The Grass is bringing in Bondi‘s beloved Icebergs Dining Room and Bar to the long weekender festival in Byron Bay next month.

Seating a very neat 100 folks in for a very spesh three-course meal over a couple of hours, Icebergs’ Maurice Terzini will be dipping into his rich Italian roots to serve up some of the Sydney institution’s finest dishes, curated by executive chef Monty Koludrovic and the taste wizards from Three Blue Ducks and using a bunch of local Byron produce.

Each course will be paired with drinks from the Smirnoff team, including a fancy little tipple upon arrival to the exclusive lunch/dinner club to really wet your whistle without having to time the bar line perfectly with a break in sets.

The whole pop-up space is set to be a recreation of the iconic restaurant that peers over Bondi Beach, it’ll be reinterpreted for the pretty lakeside space tucked away in the North Byron Parklands, trading the salty sea spray for a weekend camping trip up the coast.

Maybe instead of those classic Pacific Ocean-inspired teals and whites, we’ll get some deep, rich forest greens and cosy browns to work in with its surroundings.

There are seven sessions across the weekend to take your pick from, each coming in at a tidy $148+bf, so gather your mates and pack your nice dinner clothes for a fancy little sojourn away from the chaos of the Splendour festival. Cop yourselves a seat at the table over here.

Your ticket also gets you sneaky access to Icebergs’ post-festival party on Sunday night, the Italo Dining & Disco Club, which is running from 11pm to late after every wraps up at the festival on the final night.
