Clearly we’re all so bloody obsessed with glitter that folks don’t only want it on the clothes, their skin, in their hair, on their belongings, they also want it inside them now, by ways of their morning coffee.
It’s true that the sacred bean drink is a blessed beverage, and absolutely deserves fanfare. Maybe some angelic choirs, a couple of harps and a white aura, but does it need edible glitter in place of delicious chocolate? I’m not so sure.
Regardless, both Melbourne In Lichfield in Lichfield, England and Cafe di Bella in Mumbai, India have started serving up glitzy realness on top of their crema foam which, yeah ok that kinda looks cool but I also feel like I’d be weeing glitter for days.

Edible glitter is absolutely not a new phenomenon; kids’ birthday cakes have been slathered in the stuff for a while now, but having it on your morning brew bring a bit of sparkle into the lives of us jaded bastards who are hopelessly addicted to caffeine.
Just remember, this stuff is EDIBLE glitter so please for the love of God don’t go and chuck craft glitter in your Blend 43 in the morning. Don’t do it.
