Vintage Lovers Descend On Alice Euphemia

Melbourne boutique Alice Euphemia isn’t just one of the premier clothing boutiques in the country but it has earned the reputation as an international shopping destination for its fabulous collection of Australian made and designed clothing and jewellery – a retailer that has supported local talent since opening in 1997. Alice hardly requires an introduction, but is well worth a visit during the next few weeks (for those with deep pockets and a vintage-inspired style sensibility) because the incredibly tasteful online vintage maven Claire Incorruptible (Claire Inc) has taken up a month’s residency there.

The Claire Inc opening on Friday saw a horde of eager vintage fans clamouring to be the first to secure pieces from the collection.

The one-off ‘pop-up shop’ is now upstairs at Alice Euphemia showcasing a tightly edited collection from the late era 1980s and 1990s design legends including Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, Kenzo, Issey Miyake, Alaia, Yohji Yamamoto and the opulent designers Christian Lacroix and Versace. Best of all? Unlike most online shopping, you can finally try before you buy.

Claire Inc will be housed in the pop up shop until just 21 July, so make haste.
