A Cosmopolitan-Inspired TV Show Is Coming, Sounds As Terrible As You Think

Have you ever thought to yourself – while voraciously devouring Cosmopolitan magazine’s ‘Top Tips To Make Him Spontaneously Orgasm Using Only Your Eyebrows‘ – gee, now here’s a publication ripe for the good ‘ol TV treatment?

No? Well someone did, because NBC‘s confirmed it’s developing a fictional series based on “the lives — and love lives — of the staff responsible for the number one women’s magazine in the world.”

The as-yet untitled project will be executive produced by US Cosmo’s editor-in-chief Joanna Coles, from whom the script will take its inspiration, and co-produced by Holly Whidden, the director of editorial brand strategy for Hearst Magazines.

Not much else is known at this stage, but check this delightfully vom show summary courtesy of Variety:

“Just like the readers they cater to, the characters’ struggles are about balancing career and family, finding your identity, and according to the logline, “having the most mind blowing orgasms,” while getting your heartbroken and managing friendships – all while wearing the perfect pair of jeans to flatter any body type.”

WORDS. We have none. Send help.

[….a reasonable amount of time later…]

We guess the show has potential if the cast share gems like the following handie hack:

“Hold his penis in one hand and lightly slap it with the other… you can tap it back and forth like you’re volleying a tennis ball and lightly pinch the skin on his shaft and testicles. Many women make the mistake of being too gentle.”
