Watch: Possible Bon Iver Album Preview

The band most likely to turn card carrying tough guys into misty-eyed pussies, Bon Iver, have posted a 50-second video clip on their website after being off the radar the last two years, which we presume/hope is a preview/teaser to their sophomore album (expected to be released in June of this year).

In an interview with Rolling Stone last month, the band’s creative nucleus Justin Vernon divulged a few cagey details about the record, which is comprised of 10 tracks, each representative of a place. The first song is titled “Perth” and features a children’s choir, wailing guitars and a marching drum-beat, which was inspired by a visit to Australia. Big ups West side.

Aside from appearing on Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Vernon spent the beginnings of working on this album in a completely new direction compared with his debut. He sought the help of several studio musicians, including Colin Stetson (sax man, who plays with Arcade Fire and Tom Waits) and Greg Leisz (guitarist who has recorded with Bill Frissell and Linda Rondstadt).

“I built the record myself, but I allowed those people to come in and change the scene,” Vernon told Rolling Stone.
