Josh Goot Plays To His Strenghs For AW2012

Josh Goot is great at doing what he does: Futurism-infused silhouettes. Exceptional tailoring. Three dimensional structures that fit the body like beautiful body armour… For his Autumn/Winter 2012 collection he has stuck to his areas of expertise while delivering a slightly more pared back, masculine aesthetic compared to the body-con shapes and kaleidoscope of prints that have been the Josh Goot hallmark in previous seasons.

Technically impressive tulip shirts and tapered, grey wool sweatpants appear alongside silk brocade bomber jackets, crisp white shirts and a beautifully cut tuxedo which you can see in the shots below.

The collection does understated, classic style with modern elements like Goot’s take on the rose motif, which is the starring print of the collection, appearing in splashes and various renditions across the looks. The outerwear, too, is all sculptural futuristic shells.
