Listing optical illusions and Ellsworth Kelly among his inspirations and staying true to his past collections, Josh Goot kept things slim lined, bright, bold and a little bit sexy at his Spring/Summer 2010 London Fashion Week show.
The designer’s jersey mini dresses with cut-out backs – and fitted jackets and trousers – were stamped with blocks of juicy orange, acid green and flamingo pink. Geometric patterns ran throughout most of the collection with a particular shaded black-and-white polka dot print morphing into a Magic-Eye-like optical illusion before your very eyes.
Aussie beauty Isabel Lucas was in attendance of the show, set against the industrial backdrop of a Soho car park with the models sporting slicked back hair (fresh from the ocean?) and very natural make-up, aside from the occasional splash of fluro reddy/orange lipstick.
All in all, the collection reeked of Bondi-chic and most excitingly, is totally ready-to-wear.
