Dion Lee Now Makes Swimwear That Doubles As Wearable Art


Having mastered the art of sculpting neoprene into casual day looks, that Dion Lee has undertaken his first foray into swimwear is a not-at-all surprising though nonetheless entirely welcome development. 

Appropriating design elements from his eponymous main line label, like elaborate racerback ‘filter’ weaves and how-does-that-even-work harnesses, two of the looks revealed so far from the [WATER] component of Lee’s Oil + Water Resort 2014 collection hold the promise of restoring to swimwear that which all those Project Runway challenges pledged but never delivered on; that is, the ability to go from beach to boardroom in a single look [your office dress code or lack thereof pending].
