In a big blow for the Australian Test Cricket team, Ryan Harris has been ruled out of the upcoming series against South Africa as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery. It will be a huge series for Australia who are aiming to reclaim their Test no.1 ranking from the Proteas. It also has some extra feeling considering it was Graeme Smith’s team that broke through for their first series win on Australian soil last time the toured. Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus look certain to form the backbone of the pace attack with Pat Cummins, James Pattinson and left-armer Mitchell Starc continuing there gradual transition into the test team. It’s a big loss for the Aussies as Harris has had plenty of success against the South Africans in the past.
Australia take on South Africa in the first test in Brisbane on November the 9th.
