Simian Mobile Disco said every track of upcoming release Delicatessen & Delicacies will “take the name of an exotic, and often bizarre, delicacy from around the world”. First up they’re serving “Casy Marzu”, a traditional Sardinian sheep milk cheese, notable for being riddled with live insect larvae; and “Thousand Year Egg” is a Chinese cuisine ingredient made by preserving duck, chicken or quail eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, lime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months, depending on the method of processing.
