Old People Don’t Like Bat For Lashes, Dan Deacon or Bon Iver

Breakfast At Sulimay’s if you don’t remember, is a delightful music review show helmed by a trio of elderly kooks from Fishtown, Philadelphia.

We first met the critical triumvirate when they reviewed Animal Collective’s “My Girls” and in the below episodes Dan Deacon, Bat For Lashes, Common, Doves, Eminem and Bon Iver receive the same quizzical treatment. As expected the septuagenarians offer keen sonic insight (they label Natasha Khan’s moody dream pop as “belly rubbing music”) while pretending that their ears aren’t bleeding. I can only hope I’m this bewildered by modern music when I reach their age.
