You will work with the Publisher, managing several writers at a young, evolving company. You will need the following: a uni degree, excellent writing skills plus some editing experience and copy/sub editing skills and a love of and engagement with Sydney’s cultural life. The role will include: lining up approximately 10-15 news & features posts a week with their team of writers across multiple genres, writing 3-5 posts a week, liaising with the sub-editor who will ensure a high level of editorial accuracy and that each post is distributed to their audience through social media channels. Foxtel are looking for a team orientated Assistant Scheduler with great organisational ability who will be required to prepare daily transmission schedules. Key job responsibilities include: preparing daily transmission schedules, entering cue sheets, checking daily reports for missing programming information, assisting with the download procedure, ensuring a high standard of on-air presentation is maintained, working to tight schedules, performing various clerical and administrative duties on a daily basis and assisting the scheduler with log scheduling.
