In 2010 it was impossible to avoid the punk-influenced garage pop tunes of Los Angeleno weed advocates and cat lovers Best Coast after their debut album Crazy For You (released via Mexican Summer) went nuts on the blogosphere and beyond. After a seemingly endless run of tour dates, we would have thought the band would barely have time for a little downtime, but apparently they’ve found time to work on enough new material to release a new album this year.
Best Coast’s front woman Bethany Cosentino announced via her twitter account that the band has “got a lot of songs already written and a lot more to write. life has been pretty nuts therefore i have a lot to write about!”.
Fans can also look forward to a new tune from the band dropping sometime soon…
