Position: Junior Fashion Publicist.
Location: Sydney.
Paid or Unpaid: Unpaid.
Length of internship: 8 – 12 weeks for 2 – 3 days per week (approx 20 days experience).
Start date end date: October / November as this is traditionally the period we receive the new collections from the designers and the general office work load increases from hectic to frenetic.
Job Description: Working in a junior publicist role they will be acting as a support to several mentoring brand managers. They will assist with brainstorming concepts and campaigns for a handful of clients that they will consistently work on during their duration of their internship. In addition they will be trained up in the day to day operations of the business all hands on deck!
Requirements & Preferred experience: They need to have studied PR and/or communications knowledge of the fashion industry is a MUST. A work history in magazines/working knowledge of current magazine contacts will be highly regarded.
Skills & Competencies: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point.
Key Personality Traits: Friendly, outgoing, organised, motivated & driven will a can do attitude. A strong sense of personal style inline with current fashion.
