Tyga Just Spilled All The Tea On What It’s Really Like to Date Kylie Jenner

Tyga, mate. The rule of break-ups is, you whinge a shitload to your friends about your shitty ex and how you were the normal one, and they were absolutely the one with all the problems and that’s why you broke up. But you absolutely keep that shit on lock, and publicly pretend you’re the happiest person on the planet, nothing but love for that garbage person, blah blah all is well in the world. Ok?

You do not give public interviews throwing extreme shade and airing all your dirty laundry. It just makes you look like the pissy, butthurt one.
Well, Tyga’s not following the break up rules apparently, because he’s gone and given a scathing interview on US radio station Power 105.1 about his breakup with Kylie Jenner earlier this year.
At first, he’s pretty chill.
“I have love for her but I’m not in love no more,” he said.
That lasts for about 0.2 seconds, because he then gives a very obvious shade-throw.
“When you’re with anybody that first year, it’s magic and then after that, you start realizing a bunch of shit.”
Ummmm don’t think we didn’t notice that reference to Kylie’s infamous “realising stuff” quote from that fucking weird Christmas/New Years video.
The rest is typical, thinly-veiled digs at Kylie and her lifestyle being the main factor in the break up.
“I think the main thing was a lot of people, a lot of outside influences. And…she’s younger than me and she’s dealing with perception. I’m older so I can deal with perception. But for her, growing up how she grew up, image and perception was everything. So you have a bunch of people pulling from you and you’re still trying to develop as a young woman.”
Like… maybe that’s true but come on, man. It kind of makes her sound like a child. Which is equal parts gross and patronising.
He then makes a dig at the Kardashian empire – which buddy, you really benefitted from.
“I like to keep a mystique and I know that’s how she made her money,” Tyga said.
Remember that tune you released and had Kylie star in? Sorry but literally zero people would have listened to that if you weren’t dating a Kardashian/Jenner, and had her star in the film clip.

He does make one interesting point in the interview, regarding how race potentially played a factor in the sheer volume of news pieces about the couple. While (in my opinion, anyway) it seemed the age gap, and Kylie being under 18 when they were first rumoured to be dating was more of a factor in their newsworthiness, the Kardashian/Jenner’s have routinely come under fire on social media for dating men of colour.
“For the last seven months we ain’t been together, have there been any negative stories out?” he said. “All I’m saying is whoever controls this kind of media doesn’t like seeing rappers with these type of women, especially young white women, and it’s just how it is.”
But then it’s back to the regular programming of over-sharing about their relationship’s demise.
“I mean, when it was good, it was good. When it was bad, it was really bad.”
Hopefully he’s got some bangers on the way courtesy of his deep heartbreak, cos I for one would like another ‘Rack City‘ for my 3am Friday dance floor sessions, ok?
