Half the Pedestrian office leaves for the land of the rising sun on Friday, and suffice to say we’re excited. Quite frankly I’m quietly combusting to see the home of Issey Miyake, Junya Watanabe, Yohji Yamamoto and of course Comme Des Garcons’ Rei Kawakubo.
In that vein of “turning Japanese” I give you the latest in H&M’s growing list of designer collaborations – this time with Comme Des Garcons. It’s interesting to see how Kawakubo has streamlined her usually obtuse designs for the consciously wearable retail outlet.
