Like moths to the flame, Instagrammers can’t resist aesthetically-pleasing backdrops.

You’d best prepare your feeds for the influx of posts from inside a San Francisco pop-up that’s about to blow everyone’s ironically-colourful socks off.

Dubbed The Colour Factory, it’s a two-storey interactive exhibit where every single room is either themed around one colour, or every colour in the rainbow.

There are 15 original works of art across the 12,000 square foot space two blocks down from the city’s touristy Union Square, including a 207,000-ball pit that’s yellow enough to make you grin ear-to-ear and a glass room that’s stuffed with blue balloons (and some disco balls to get that colour reflectin’).

When you enter the space, you can register for a card that comes with a special barcode. Scan the barcode at six photobooth stations situated throughout the exhibit and the pics you’ve snapped there will be emailed to you direct for instant uploading.

We repeat: this place is tailor-made for the ‘Gram.

Something called a ‘balloon bath’, in a shade so blue not even Andy Sachs could get it confused:

And, of course, the ball pit – where you’ll 1000% lose all your personal belongings but won’t moan about it because who can do such a thing in the face of so much yellow:

But wait, there’s more.

In conjunction with the exhibition space, the Color Factory gives visitors a map pinpointing 17 commissioned ‘colour experiences’ throughout San Francisco. There are secret wall murals, pastel staircases and the coordinates to a place that sells millennial pink bubble teas.

For those lucky enough to nab a ticket, the pop-up is located at 575 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 and is open for the entire month of August (except Wednesdays) from 10am to 10pm.

If you find yourself ticketless, remember: a picture in front of the building’s rainbow exterior is free (and just as cool).

Has yarn got you itching for a trip to the Golden City? You can see it for yourself – and snap a pic in front of its reddest landmark of all – on Contiki’s LA to the Bay tour. Crossing 3 states across 11 action-packed days, your Instagram feed will look the best it ever has.
