A Bunch Of Pet Friendly Hotels Around Australia That’ll Welcome Your Fur Baby

If you’ve got a dog, cat, bird, or any other form of fur baby, it’s likely you love it so much you wish you could take it with you on all your holidays. That’s where pet friendly hotels come in – but considering many around Australia aren’t welcoming your little pals, it can be hard to plan a vacay.

Luckily, more and more hotels are cottoning on to the fact that we a) look after our pets so they don’t destroy everything in their wake and b) want them to join us on our adventures. We’ve rounded up the best pet friendly hotels around Australia for you, from pamper-heavy options to simple stays.

1. Ovolo Hotels

Ovolo hotels – already amazing because they give you a free mini bar, a real highlight in my opinion – have a “V.I.Pooch” package, where you can bring your dog along to one of their pet friendly hotel rooms, complete with their own lush puppy bed and free doggy snacks! If you head to Ovolo Nishi, their Canberra hotel, real soon you can also get in on their Artistic Intentions package, which includes tickets to the Matisse / Picasso exhibition at the NGA.

2. Element Melbourne Richmond

This recently opened hotel in Melbs is entirely pet friendly, so you can bring your fur baby along for a little Melbourne jaunt. Over in the lovely suburb of Richmond, you can expect great cafes and dining, a location near the Botanic Gardens and easy tram access to all the Melbs staples.

3. Hilton Adelaide

Another winner in the pet friendly hotels category is Hilton Adelaide – you can bring your dog along, so long as it’s toilet-trained and isn’t over 34kgs. The hotel itself is in the heart of the city, meaning Central Market, Chinatown and Gouger Street are all a stone’s throw away.

4. Beach Suites, Byron Bay

Looking to do a North Coast weekender? Beach Suites is the only luxury Byron accom (aside from holiday rentals) that falls under the pet friendly hotels category. And they are LUSH – overlooking Main Beach, you’ll cop beachfront access and plenty of cafes close by.

5. Mantra On Edward, Brisbane

Walking distance from the Roma Street Parklands and South Bank, Mantra on Edward takes being a pet friendly hotel very seriously! A minimum length of stay *may* apply, but if you’ve got fam in Brissie and want to go introduce your fur baby to them, this is the place to crash.
