NYC Artist Partners W/ Pepsi Max To Bring The ‘Grammable Love Wall To Oz

Love and Instagram likes: two things the world would simply not know what to do without. Smash ’em together in the form of a Love Wall and yep, that’s a recipe for approx. thousands of colourful Insta pics and kissy photos.

The love hearty phenomenon popping up all over your feed stems from a wickedly talented street artist in the US known as JGoldcrown.

His installations are responsible for creating lil’ lovefests and primo selfie spots from LA to NYC, and we’re kind of dying to snap a piccy in front of one ourselves TBH. Now, we actually can – and James himself is pretty stoked about it.

“Pepsi Max Vanilla approached me and I thought it would be really exciting because they’ve given me this blank vanilla canvas to turn into something very exciting, and they’ve given me a lot of the creative freedom to do something for myself on it,” he said.

So the walls are on their way down under and we could not be more keen – seriously these are some of the most ‘grammable spots around, even a few models and celebs are getting in on the action.

And TBH, if it’s good enough for a Victoria’s Secret model, it’s good enough for us.

We had a lil’ chat with Goldcrown to get an idea of how it all started – which, like all of us at some stage in life, involves a whole bunch of procrastination and doodles. No, really. Buncha doodles.

“I just doodle hearts,” he said. “First ever mural was in New York, and I was asked to do something and I didn’t really have a battle plan.”

“My friends were like, ‘You should do the hearts that you do.’ I’m pretty rebellious to people’s suggestions and then as the time was approaching I was running out of ideas and I just thought, ‘Yeah, maybe it would look good.’ I did it and it went viral. In three days, my life just changed.”

And now that Pepsi Max has gotten on board the hype train with Goldcrown’s work, they’re bringing it out to Australia for three pop-ups in Sydney and Melbourne.
