Not This Shit Again: Flights To Bali Cancelled Due To Volcanic Ash

Virgin Australia and Jetstar have been forced to once again cancel all flights in and out of Denpasar Airport because the Mount Raung volcano is displaying zero chill and spewing more volcanic ash into the atmosphere.

If you’re in the unlucky lot to be caught up in it, here’s what you need to know:

Jetstar passengers

“We’ll make a decision regarding this evening’s planned flying to and from Bali this afternoon and will update you on our plans shortly after.”

They recommend you don’t travel to the airport, but instead keep an eye on your flights here.

JQ 43 – Melbourne-Bali

JQ 44 – Bali-Melbourne

JQ 106 – Perth-Bali

JQ 105 – Bali-Perth

Virgin Australia

You’ll be updated around 6pm tonight via email of SMS with advice on tomorrow’s services.

If you’re travelling to Denpasar by July 28 and wish to head to one of 12 other island and coastal holiday destinations, Virgin will waive the fare difference. If you’ve booked through a third party, you’re advised to get in contact with ’em stat.
