Not A Basic Bitch? Chow Down On The World’s Most Expensive Burger

At some point in this lifetime, it’s entirely likely that at least some of you will make your nut and get Oprah-rich. For those lucky few, lifestyle habits inevitably change as phat stax open all kinds of doors previously well and truly closed. But things don’t necessarily need to be that different to what you’re used to. You just need to upscale some old habits – like putting a racing stripe on a hatchback.

Even the rich and famous enjoy a good, old fashioned burger from time-to-time. But what better way to stay true to your roots whilst simultaneously letting everyone know that you are getting PAID, son, than by running a goddamned train all over the Glamburger – the world’s most expensive burger.

London restaurant Honky Tonk is the creator of this pricey beast, which with a price tag of £1,100 (or AU$2,023.46 with the current exchange rate) ranks it as arguably the most expensive single-serve burger in the world.

What makes it so danged rich? It’s casually managed to combine some of the most expensive ingredients in the world together in one totally ridiculous concoction.

For starters, the patty is made up of 220 grams of Kobe Wagyu beef, combined with 60 grams of New Zealand Venison with a centre pocket of black truffle brie. The meat is seasoned with Himalayan salt, and served up with Canadian lobster that’s been poached in Iranian saffron. On top of all that is a couple of strips of maple bacon, some Beluga caviar, and a hickory-smoked duck egg covered in edible gold leaf. Still not satisfied? How about garnishing the whole thing with a mango & champagne jus and some grated white truffle, whilst sandwiching the whole thing between a Japanese matcha and cream mayonnaise-seasoned bun that’s also been coated in gold leaf.

Yeah. It’s fully cooked.

But for those of you who’ll never have fuck you money – which, let’s be real here, will be most of us – you’ve still got a chance at being able to get your grubby mitts all over the richest meat sandwich getting about. The UK Groupon is giving away one trip to the Honky Tonk to tackle the Glamburger head-on.

It doesn’t say it’s open to people outside of the UK, but on the other hand it doesn’t say that it isn’t either. We figure if they’re rolling deep enough to casually give away the most expensive burger in the world then they’re also rolling deep enough to fly an Australian stomach to the motherland to get knuckle-deep in that business.
