In a diva-like display worthy of, well, a ’90s supermodel, Kate Moss has been kicked off a plane for being “disruptive”, calling the pilot a “basic bitch” in the process.
Moss, it turns out, is a pretty frugal flyer – she was taking budget airline EasyJet home from Turkey, where she had been celebrating good pal Sadie Frost‘s birthday.
Rather than pay exorbitant airline prices for booze, Moss made the smart decision to bring her own, and was seen pouring vodka from her cabin baggage before the incident.
Sadly, the cabin crew weren’t amused, and the law was waiting for Moss at the other end. Per reports in News Limited, a fellow passenger said:
“She called the pilot a ‘basic b****’ as police led her off the plane, she was a little drunk and had a disagreement with another passenger on the flight as she was refused alcohol and then went to serve her own vodka from her cabin luggage. But she was not aggressive to anyone and was funny really, the EasyJet crew was acting out of proportion.”
In a statement of their own, Bedfordshire Police added:
“We were called to assist staff in escorting a passenger from a flight arriving into Luton airport this afternoon. The passenger had been reported as being disruptive on the flight. Officers attended and escorted the passenger from the plane. No formal complaints were made against her and she was not arrested.”
Moss has a bit of a history with EasyJet. Last year, she allegedly tried to talk her way on to another flight from Turkey to the UK without a ticket, and though she was “clearly inebriated”, they eventually let her on anyway.
