Ok, I confess I was flying to the Gold Coast this weekend anyway. But you’d better believe that ‘devour a boozy doughnut’ from brand new dessert bar The Doughnut Affair is now firmly on my itinerary. Get it? As in, you’re having an affair behind the back of your healthy living?
Frankly, I don’t even give a damn. Just LOOK at this Malibu-infused pina colada doughnut. What you’re looking at is a pineapple compote and Malibu-ganache with a little dehydrated pineapple on top and a chocolate straw to top it off. Best believe I’ll be blowing up my socials while devouring this bad boy.

This doughnut and coffee bar in Mermaid Beach opened only last weekend and is already making one hell of a splash with their innovative doughnut creations. Urban List reports that founder, Kurt, came up with the idea after a trip to New York after apparently just really digging the doughnut scene there. Do the damn thing, Kurt.
The menu may not be huge, but it’s exciting. Beside the pina colada and reportedly amazing coffee, you’ll also find things like the strawberries and champagne-infused cream doughnut (which I will also absolutely be eating):

They also KNOW you don’t give a damn, seeing as their slogan is ‘regret nothing’. Which frankly is a slogan I can absolutely get behind. Doughnuts for grown-ups, mates. Doughnuts. For. Grown-ups.
