10 New Bali Hotspots If The Thought Of Bounty Nightclub Makes You Wanna Vom

new bali

Far be it from me to talk smack about Bounty Nightclub – it really is home to some fond memories for me, including but not limited to dancing in cages with human animals and having a dart put out on my big toe.

But I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that once you’ve tackled the Kuta cesspit (I haven’t forgotten about you, Engine Room and Skygarden) you’re kind of done with it and become more interested in what the rest of the island has to offer, which is a whole lot more than sweaty clubs, exposed anoos cracks and Bintang singlets.

Below: some of the hottest new openings around Seminyak, Canggu and more. You’re welcome.

TROPICOLA

Three bars, two pools, one amphitheatre and three trillion ‘gram opportunities thanks to a colourful mashup of Miami and Tulum vibes. It legit only opened last month and is abso-bloody-lutely the cool place to be seen. Rumour is it’ll be as big as Mexicola in roughly three months – you heard it here first pals. Keen? You can cop this sweet deal with The Bali Bible to save some dollars.

DA MARIA

It’s been open for around a year now and is popping TF off. A live DJ comes on from 10pm transforming the dinner destination into a big ol’ party. Our take? Take your late boozy dinner into the night. Here’s a deal to get bang for your buck.

LA BANDIDA

If you’re on the hunt for free booze, look no further than La Bandida which is one of Canggu‘s newest hotspots – it’s got free sangria every Thurs from 7-11.30pm. That’s a little longer than your average Happy Hour, no?

MANO BEACH HOUSE

Just opposite La Lucciola and smack bang on the beach, Mano Beach House is super chilled for all your cocktail-drinking, holiday needs.

SUGARSAND

This one literally just opened its doors and is sure to get all its customers wet, in whatever way you wanna interpret that. Don’t hate me for the way your mind works.

NEON PALMS

Neon Palms opened this April and is the cutie patootie venue you need in your travels, all thanks to the owner of Sea Circus. It’s located above the Bali Boat Shed clothing store in Seminyak, and you enter via the pink door. Open 7 days a week for brekkie, lunch and dinner.

LA BRISA

If you love La Laguna or La Favela (um, everyone), you’ll froth La Brisa. It’s fabbo for sunset and getting rat-arsed, if you so wish.

AZUL BEACH CLUB

beachfront bamboo tree house? My inner-Tarzan is so hyped for this shit – shit being the tiki bar, open-air restaurant, infinity pool, sun lounges + private dining terraces. They’ve really thought of it all, huh?

ULU CLIFFHOUSE

If you’re looking for the Sunday sesh you cop at home only on roids, head to Ulu Cliffhouse on Sundays after a hot minute at the iconic Single Fin. You and everyone sad enough to follow you on Instagram won’t regret it.

OMNIA

Omnia‘s the best. It’s the only beach club in Bali that’s actually 21+, meaning no screaming infants will ruin your banger of a time. I reckon it’s worth nabbing a cabana and making a day of it like you’re real royalty – sure, it’s a bit exxy, but divvy up the costs between a crew and redeem it back with food and drink and you’re golden. If you wanna hit up more of Uluwatu‘s beach clubs, old and new, consider this tour.

ALING ALING WATERFALL

Oh and because not everything in this world is manmade, here’s one of mother nature’s best that you mightn’t have heard of before. Give Aling Aling Waterfall a go as opposed to Ubud‘s Tegenungan Waterfall – it’s like a slip and slide for adults and SOLD.

For more of Bali’s hotspots, get around this Insta tour of the island. The private driver even takes pics for you because you’re a strong independent ‘grammer who don’t need no photographer husband.
