If you’re after a terrifying glimpse into a future filled with killer robots, great news, a YouTuber has successfully programmed a swarm of drones to detect his face and launch themselves straight at it. Wholesome!

Micheal Reeves spends most of the 10-minute video explaining how he connected the 12 drones to a network and used his computer to run facial recognition on the images fed back via the drones’ cameras, but the real meat and potatoes are towards the end when he’s successfully bombarded by the swarm. Suss the clip for yourself below.

Essentially, homeboy got his killer swarm to work by making a few of the drones leaders, which are the only ones capable of facial recognition. Once the leader drones get a lock on a pesky human, they begin the attack and relay the target information to two of the other drones who then follow the leader into battle.

The first couple of tests turn out to be an absolute disaster, with most of the units going ass up before they’ve barely lifted off the ground. After some fine tuning, he eventually gets all of the drones to barrel into him, which is equal parts hilarious and terrifying.

Tape a couple of knives on these assholes and you’ve got yourself a killer robot swarm, baby. Welcome to the end of the human race.
