What The Hell Is Going On In Mark Zuckerberg’s Newest Facebook Status?

If you’re the kind of person that has been following Mark Zuckerberg‘s Facebook recently, you’ll have seen that his posts have taken a somewhat unusual turn. The bloke has started a journey across America, observing provincial American life like an alien would.

just cuttin’ fish like a normal fella, am i right guys?

i don’t even work here lmao
It’s very odd, and many people have speculated as to whether this is Zuck’s way of building up a campaign for president in 2020 or beyond.
A US Facebook employee told PEDESTRIAN.TV on the condition of anonymity that internally they don’t actually think that Zuck has any particular inclination to run for office – they find the very suggestion “hilarious”, actually – and say its a genuine attempt to connect with the platform’s userbase.
Especially at a time when Facebook was blamed in part for the increasingly intense political alienation and polarisation in the United States, and the election of Donald J. Trump, apparently Mark just wants to get to know his users a little better. I’m not sold, but fine.
Today’s post includes an interesting tidbit.

Several years ago at Facebook, our chefs cooked a whole pig. I remember someone saying it would be delicious but she wished she didn’t have to see where the meat came from. I’ve always thought we should be thankful and understand where our food comes from — so for the next year I set a goal to only eat meat that I killed and helped butcher myself.
I don’t care much for this Facebook pig ritual, but hmm…
For the next year I set a goal to only eat meat that I killed and helped butcher myself.

Of course, there are myriad problems with battery farming, and it is important that meat-eaters are aware of where their food comes from.

But imagine this guy killing and butchering a cow:
Keep up the posts, Mark.
