Upstart telco Circles.Life (powered by Optus) has just brought back one of the best mobile deals we’ve seen this year: a 100GB SIM-only phone plan for just $28 per month.

That’s a helluva lot of data for not much money.

To put it into perspective, 100GB is enough data to literally stream Spotify for every single second of a month, watch 200 movies on Netflix on the go, or send about 50,000 photos you wouldn’t want your mum to see.

The offer runs until December 18. To get it, you’ll need to sign up to Circles using the promo code “WHISTLEOUT”.

There is one slight catch: you only get your 100GB allowance for the first six months. After that, your data drops to 20GB per month. The plan is contract-free though, so you can ditch it whenevs.

For comparison, spending around $30 per month would normally get you a paltry 20GB.

If you were after a similarly large allowance, the closest option comes from Optus, where $59 per month gets you 100GB.

If 100GB isn’t quite enough, the Circles plan also includes 3GB of “bill shock protection” data. This kicks in if you somehow manage to burn through your entire allowance, and if you manage to use that too, you can nab an extra 3GB for $6. Given the standard rate for excess data is $10 per GB, that’s surprisingly reasonable.
