New Apple Leak Claims To Be The First Look At An iPhone SE / X Hybrid

While rumours of Apple‘s upcoming line of iPhones have been flying around for a little while now, we may have our first real look at one of them.

The phone in question is allegedly a follow-up to the iPhone SE – Apple’s budget range – which noted Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, thinks will accompany an updated iPhone X. Following some supposed leaked footage, Concept Creator made some pretty sweet images of the new device.

Essentially, it looks like an iPhone SE fucked an iPhone X and had a very nice and handsome son. I’m into it. Some folks are calling it the iPhone SE2, others reckon it’s the iPhone X SE, but either name gets the point across, really.

The video, which was posted to a popular leaks site called Macotakara, is available below for you to suss out for yourself.

As you can see, there’s no home button on the SE2, which is consistent with rumours that the company’s entire range of 2018 phones will be ditching Touch ID for Face ID. There’s also no headphone jack, which is still a point of contention for some.

Personally, I don’t hate not having a headphone jack, but it can be a real pain in the ass when someone hands you an AUX cord and you can’t do anything with it.

While Macotakara is regarded as a pretty reliable source, they haven’t always been spot on with predictions or leaks, so there’s a possibility this one could be bogus too. That being said, the site has a pretty good track record.

Either way, you can probably expect to shell out a lot more this version of the SE compared to its predecessor. The starting price is rumoured to be around $US799 ($1,036).

Any announcement from Apple is still a while off yet, so expect to hear a lot more rumours in the meantime.
