Only two weeks ahead of their big October 4 announcement, a massive leak of Google‘s upcoming products has hit the internet. Bad news for them, good news for anyone wanting to compare the Pixel 2 to the new iPhones.
Droid Life has published details of the rumoured hardware including pictures, all of which look pretty damn legit. Along with Google Home Mini and the Google Pixelbook, the company are expected to announce two new smartphones: the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL.
The Pixel 2 is your run-of-the-mill Google phone and is expected to come in three colours – “kinda Blue,” white, and black. We don’t know much more about this model other than it’s allegedly made by HTC and will come in 64GB and 128GB sizes.
The 64GB unit is rumoured to cost $US649 ($809) while the 128GB is $US749 ($933).

The Pixel 2 XL, as the name suggests, will be a larger version of the standard unit. The deluxe, if you will. This one’s made by LG and is expected to pack a 6-inch OLED screen and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip.
It’s expected to come in two colours at launch – a standard black and black and white combo, the latter of which you can see in the tweet below.

The Pixel 2 XL will come in the same two sizes of 64GB and 128GB, setting you back $US849 ($1,058) and $US949 ($1,183) respectively. I wouldn’t bank on those prices being exact, though, they’re just the AUD equivalent. We all know how much the amounts can be jacked up beyond those numbers.
While each phone is being manufactured by different companies, both are rumoured to come with fancy squeeze gestures, similar to the HTC U11.
We’ll know more when Google officially announce the products on October 4.
