I don’t have to tell you all how lame energy bills are, I’d be preaching to the choir, right? Of course, I’ll spare you the speech.
But what can we do to reduce the costs that are such a strain on our existence, but also totally necessary for, you know, everyday living? Well, it depends how serious you wanna get.
There’s the obvious answers – wear more layers, invest in a snuggie, drink some delicious, warming whisky, and so on. Alternatively, you could be a bit more practical with some smart home technology.
I know what you’re thinking, smart home stuff is for fancy people with heaps of money that want to automate their homes and you don’t need any of that noise, yeah? Well, no, you’d be wrong.
Smart home tech has never been more accessible, particularly for those who are renting. Smart plugs when used with a smart home kit, for example, can be used to monitor your power usage and automatically turn appliances on or off at certain times. Perfect for those who worry about leaving the heater on all night.
