4 Upcoming ‘Smash Ultimate’ Fighters Allegedly Leaked & Where TF Is Waluigi?

While Nintendo has already announced two of the six fighters available via the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC, the remaining four have now allegedly leaked, according to a user on the Japanese forum, 5Channel, reported by Gearnuke.

The user, known as Mr. Anonymous Desperate, says the four upcoming fighters are Erdrick from the Dragon Quest series, Steve, who is the default player character in Minecraft, Doomguy, who is the playable bloke in the Doom series, and Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden. Ahem, *grabs megaphone* – WHERE THE FUCK IS WALUIGI?

As IGN reports, the leak first appeared back in early December but has only since gained an air of legitimacy because it also mentioned the existence of Persona 5 R, which has since been confirmed as real. The same user also posted some other Smash Bros. leaks which turned out to be true.

Furthermore, a datamine leak from the source code of the game seems to confirm at least Erdrick’s upcoming announcement. As you can see in the tweet below, the data points to the previously announced DLC fighters, Piranha Plant and The Joker from the Persona series, as well as “brave,” which translates to a Japanese word that can also mean ‘hero’, which is said to be a nod to Dragon Quest III.

According to old mate leaky, a few of the DLC fighters will have alternate characters or skins, like interchangeable Dragon Quest heroes, Alex and Master Chief skins for Minecraft’s Steve, and a Doom 64 version of Doomguy.

Of course, none of this is confirmed, no matter how legit it may sound, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens when Nintendo makes its respective fighter announcements. Poor Waluigi, just give him a chance.
