‘Too Many Cooks’ Creator’s New Short Film Is A Nightmarish Twitch Stream

In 2014, Adult Swim aired a batshit crazy short film called Too Many Cooks that starts out innocent enough, but soon delves into complete and utter madness. It’s one helluva ride and if you haven’t seen it, you can check out below.

The creator of that monstrosity, Casper Kelly, is back with another short film co-written, -directed and -produced with Nick Gibbons. It’s called Final Deployment 4: Queen Battle Walkthrough and it’s just as insane as you’d expect.

The short starts by taking the piss out of a standard Twitch streamer as he walks the audience through a fictional video game that’s a bit like Halo crossed with Gears of War. As the game itself progresses, shit becomes weirder and weirder, with the main character being discharged from the army and working a dead-end job at a store tagging items with price tags.

“If you tag all the boxes you get the achievement ‘All in a Day’s Work’, which is its own reward,” the streamer, Blair Trigger says.

Things only get more fucked up from there and, without giving too much away, ends with an achievement pop-up that says “20 mins You’ll Never Get Back”. If that doesn’t adequately sum up the entire hilarious video, I don’t think anything will.

You can check it out here if you’ve got a spare 20 minutes. If you want my opinion – and you do – it’s worth it.
