Tony Hawk Wants The ‘Pro Skater’ Series Remastered As Much As You Do

The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series is objectively one of the best gaming franchises of all time. The combination of skating bullshit-crazy environments and an insanely good soundtrack made it an iconic pillar of growing up in the early 2000s.

But the big rig himself, the rolly board master, Tony Hawk, took to Twitter recently to clear up a few things for people who keep asking him, a professional skateboarder, to remaster old games and reboot servers, which doesn’t really fit in with his job description.

The guy’s not running servers out of his basement, how’s he supposed to fix them? More importantly, it’s not his fucking job. He is a skateboard man.

However, it’s worth noting that old mate is no longer working with the game’s publisher, Activision, which is a bit of a bummer if you were hoping for a new game at any point.

That’s not to say it won’t happen, Hawk doesn’t have to be involved with a new title or remaster if Activision own the license, but it’s unlikely at this stage if the guy himself hasn’t heard anything about it.

And hey, it’s nice to know he wants that shit as much as we all do.

Given the success of recent remasters like the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for Activision to at least consider it for the THPS series. I, for one, would lose my goddamn mind if that shit was announced.

Until then, quit bugging Tony Hawk about it.
