Since mobile phones are now just tiny computers, the race to create an app for absolutely everything is starting to get a little absurd.
Dating, music, gaming and social media platforms are now accessible in mere seconds and many are even tapping into the connective abilities of mobile devices.
For example, party-finding app LIVR uses an attachable breathalyser to connect you to parties in your area, but only if you blow over 0.08 BAC.
Looking for something a little more useful? Well, how about a kit that test the fertility of your sperm?
Yep, a device called Yo is letting blokes around the world jizz into a cup, plop it into a glass slide and analyse it on your iPhone or Android device.
Any pieces that come into contact with your fluids are disposable, so you can put that fear to bed straight up. Each kit comes with two disposable tests and a hefty looking clip that attaches to your phone to hold and view the slide.
It works by measuring the concentration of moving sperm to determine your fertility. The more strong swimmers you have, the higher your chance of conception. Whoever wins gets born.

The companion app even lets you zoom in your little fellas to have a closer look in real time. Ten years ago I’d wager your phone didn’t even have a front-facing camera, and now we’re zooming in on live video of our ejaculate. How the fuck did we get here?
As wild as this all sounds, it’s definitely a useful tool for those struggling with fertility. It’s relatively cheap, FDA cleared and can be done in the privacy of your own home.
