The Studio Behind ‘Dark Souls’ Is Working On 2 Mysteriously Untitled Games

The studio behind the critically acclaimed Dark Souls series, From Software, has confirmed it’s currently working on not one, but two unannounced titles. According to studio president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, both titles are “[From Software]-esque”.

In an interview with 4Gamer, old mate says that the team just needs “a little more time” before dropping any further details on the upcoming games. This is, of course, on top of From Software’s next game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which is due for release on March 22. You can check out the trailer for that one in the clip below.

The combat-focused game is set in 1500s Japan and will be released on Xbox OnePS4, and PC. As you can see, it looks like the mechanics will revolve around the main character’s bung arm quite a bit.

While the company has a variety of games dating back 1994, most deal in swordplay, fantasy, or medieval themes, so I guess “[From Software]-esque” is a good indication that the two new titles will probably follow along the same themes. Then again, they also did the futuristic Armoured Core series, so who knows?

Either way, it’s good to hear there’s more in development with such a skilled studio.
