We’ve got some fresh and crispy iPhone rumours for you, dear friends.
According to MacRumours, most, if not all of the iPhones Apple are planning to launch this year will have wireless charging capabilities.
Details are scarce on just how the system will work, but given the Apple Watch already charges wirelessly, it’s likely that the new phones will use similar technology.
To be fair, Android phones have been doing this for years, but as we all know, Apple have a habit of coming to the party late, yet it never seems to hurt them. Baffling.
However, according to a Bloomberg report from last year, Apple have been working on new “cutting-edge” technology that will allow devices to be charged at a distance, which would certainly be a game changer.
Just what else they have up their sleeve is a mystery at this stage, but early rumours indicate there will be three new models, all with a new design and a glass front and back. Maybe they’ll get around to that curved display we’ve been hearing about for so long.
Either way, bring on less cords.
