Launching in September, Nintendo‘s online service will give users access to a variety of games and features for a monthly or yearly subscription fee. Among the content will be the absolutely classic NES game, Super Mario Bros. 3, as well as some other belter titles from the early console.
Mentioned in a recent tweet, Nintendo included a screenshot of the Mario game playing on the Switch, telling fans they’ll be able to “relive the classic #NES game that brought renowned power-ups such as Raccoon Mario to the world of Super Mario Bros.!”

If you’re one of those weirdos who’s never played SMB 3, firstly, what the hell is wrong with you? Secondly, I urge you to jump on this as soon as you can. It is, without a doubt, the best side-scrolling Mario game and probably the best NES title. Do not @ me.
If you’re keen on Nintendo Switch Online, you’ve got a few options to jump on come September. You can choose from a 1-month subscription ($5.95), a 3-month subscription ($11.95), a 12-month subscription ($29.95), or a family membership ($54.95).
Other games you’ll get access to include The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Ice Climbers. There’s also 10 more to be announced, so keep an eye out for those as well.
