Folks, it’s here. The time of the year every PC gamer’s wallet fears. It’s the Steam summer sale.
Sure, it’s winter here, but that’s besides the point. What’s important is there are a fuckload of games that you can buy right now for low, low prices. It’s a nerd’s paradise out there, man. Tuck in.
It’ll run until July 6 so you’ve got plenty of time to peruse the site’s breadth of wares, but because I’m a good bloke, I’ve compiled a small list of bangers you should consider picking up.
A unique game where time only moves when you do. It’s part puzzle, part first-person shooter and insanely fun.
Also, the art style is dope.
While the franchise has been pretty stale of late, the earlier titles are still worth a play.
I would suggest hitting up COD 1 through to 4 and Modern Warfare 2, all of which are going for about $13 each.
If you’re a fan of South Park, you absolutely must play this game. It’s a funny, slightly gross take on the RPG genre written by the creators of the actual show.
Think of it like playing an interactive version of an extended episode.
Valve own Steam, sure, but they’ve also created some of the best games of all time.
This bundle will score you 19 classic games that are essential for any self-respecting gamer’s library, including the entire Half-Life series, Counter-Strike series, Portal series and Left 4 Dead series plus more. That’s some fucking value, right there.
I’d be bloody surprised if you read this far and didn’t know what GTA 5 is, so i’ll spare you the description.
I will, however, stress that if you don’t own this game, you’re wasting your life.
As mindless as the original and 10 times as pretty, Doom is is the first-person shooter that is less thinking, more shooting.
As a bonus, the soundtrack is bloody fantastic.
I really could go on, there’s so many good games on sale right now. Get on over to the Steam store and pick yourself up a bargain.
