Hold onto your filters you Snapchat mongrels, they’re about to release a giant update.
The company are implementing a huge redesign to their platform that will include a new search bar and a global story that will showcase snaps from bloody everywhere.
As well as looking very different overall, the app’s new search bar will allow you to easily carry out multiple tasks within the one place, like start a new chat with ya mate and add someone new at the same time.
And if you haven’t already, you should probably make yourself a Bitmoji, cos it’ll now be your avatar.
Bitmoji will be accessible from any part of the app by tapping the icon at the top left of the screen. For the meantime, you can get there by taking a snap and going to the emoji section.
Allegedly, the way you navigate will be much different as well. For example, you won’t be able to access your profile and settings by swiping down from the camera screen anymore, but they assure us it’s much better.
You’ll be able to search for publishers from Discover and live stories also.
If you’re familiar with the live stories function in its current state, you’ll know that these are curated and will often feature sporting or news events.
The new global Our Story will be accessible to everyone, meaning you can upload your own snaps straight to it. This sounds… Dangerous.
The update is already rolling out to Android users on the app’s beta list and will be available to everyone else soon.
