Snapchat Are Killing Its Most Hated Feature ‘Cos Of Your Persistent Whining

Praise be unto the social media media gods, for Snapchat are planning to remove one if its most infuriating features.

An update rolled out in March introduced the Auto Advance feature, forcing users to sit through all of their friend’s stories, rather than allowing them to simply watch the ones they want. If you follow anyone similar to me, you’ll know that some stories are just way too fucking long and unnecessary. Who even has time to Snap that often?
Granted, you could skip stories by swiping to the left and return to the app by swiping down, but fans of the wildly popular app were pissed off nonetheless. Luckily, you will soon be able to return to a pre-March bliss, ’cause Snapchat have just announced that they’ll be releasing an update to remove the horrible bloody feature.

“Sometimes we just want to see what our close friends or family are up to — not all of our friends — and Auto Advance prevented that,” said the blog post.
In it’s place will be new feature called Story Playlist, which let’s you choose the stories you want to watch. Add them to a playlist by taping the thumbnail to the left of your friend’s name, then tap the play button at the bottom. There you fricken go, mate! All the stories you actually wanna see, sans the pointless, half hour of dribble that your mate Steveo reckons is hot content. Let it go Steve, commentating your commute to work is completely mind numbing.
